Intelligence that is yours.
Intelligence that speaks human.
Intelligence that gives you your time back.

We build the architecture that lets every individual own their intelligence, use it like a conversation, and bank the dividend in health and time.

The idea

For thirty years, computing got personal in its hardware and global in its intelligence. Your phone is yours; the intelligence inside it is everyone's, served from the same place in the same way.

I think the next decade inverts that. Every individual will have their own intelligence stack: on their phone, another device, or a home device. It is deeply personal. It controls their data and keeps it with them. It orchestrates the generalized intelligence models available elsewhere rather than being blended into any one of them. It is real-time and present for every interaction. And because it is theirs, it becomes the real differentiation between one individual and another.

The aim is an architecture that is not controlled by a single generalized model across every human being. How you create that personalized stack is the most important question in the field. There will be hardware and software architectures for it, and they will represent the life of that person, not a shadow of a global model.

Movement 1

The stack

Intelligence becomes personal: everyone will hold their own intelligence stack, their data stays with them, and it orchestrates the world's generalized models rather than being blended into one. The differentiation between people is no longer the model they use. It is the stack they own.

Movement 2

The interface

A personal stack is worthless if you cannot talk to it. AI finally lets us make interfaces human enough for everyone, starting with the 70+ segment that the last fifteen years of "intuitive" software left behind.

Movement 3

The dividend

The point of personal, human intelligence is not cleverness. It is wellness, health, and time: people functioning at their best, knowing and controlling their own outcomes, and enjoying the years AI extends.

What we focus on

Focus 01

Personal intelligence stacks

We design and build the architecture of personal intelligence: how an individual's stack holds their data close, stays real-time for every interaction, and calls on the big generalized models as services, on their terms. Not an app. The structure underneath everything they do.

Focus 02

Interfaces that leave no one behind

In the past fifteen years, as the rate of change accelerated and the population aged, a lot of people lost out. The digital interfaces we built were specific to a certain type of person. They were intuitive, but they were not mega intuitive. They were not human.

With AI, we can make interfaces and interactions so human that that entire population can take most use of them. We start with the 70+ segment, likely the most lost and the most scared of something they cannot fully understand. Human isn't digital, but it has value, and so does the set of services, actions and devices that helps them.

Our first build

Granny

A companion for the 70+ segment: a voice you can just talk to, that handles the services and actions of daily life on your behalf, and that never makes you feel like the technology is the point. Built with Emergent, currently at Hark Companion v0.

Focus 03

Health, wellness and time

Intelligence that knows you should make you measurably better. We work on the layer where AI drives rapid increases in wellness and health: people functioning far more optimally, knowing and controlling their health outcomes, and enjoying the freedom and the time that AI gives back. The extension of good years is not a byproduct. It is the product.
